Jesse C. Ormond

Senior Associate

Jesse C. Ormond helps people build projects and communities.

Jesse is an experienced construction attorney focused on resolving real-time construction problems. He counsels international, national, and regional construction companies on sophisticated contract administration and project execution concerns that arise when building  commercial, industrial and special-purpose structures. He understands how industry relationships operate under multiple project delivery methods, including design-bid-build, design-build, CM/GC, P3, EPC and other contract bases. As result, construction teams routinely collaborate with Jesse on “live” project issues to define strategies that balance immediate project interests with long-term business goals.

Jesse also partners with construction companies to advance or defend construction claims in litigation and arbitration. Over the last several years, Jesse has been privileged to serve on multiple large arbitration teams representing construction professionals in high-stakes disputes over complex projects located throughout the Pacific Northwest and Intermountain West. He routinely appears in state and federal courts and before private arbitration panels.

Jesse started his career as a construction laborer — and has now been involved with construction projects for nearly 20 years. He works with absolute passion to help people build projects and, by extension, communities.

Jesse is a member of multiple construction industry and construction law organizations in Washington, Oregon and Idaho. He regularly presents at construction claim and risk management seminars. He also contributes to publications on public-works procurement, construction damages, lien interests, and suretyship.
